The upcoming American superhero film, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" is a sequel to the 2014 and 2017 films and is the 32nd installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film, written and directed by James Gunn, features an ensemble cast, including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, and Sylvester Stallone.
The film follows the Guardians as they embark on a mission to protect Rocket. Gunn initially had ideas for the third film in 2014 and was rehired in April 2017 after being fired in July 2018 due to controversial posts on Twitter.
Production resumed after Gunn finished working on his other projects, and filming took place from November 2021 to early May 2022 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia
